27.4.2014 | Mud Run

Yes, another update!

I decided to join the Mud Run which was held on Sunday. I was in dilemma whether or not to go. I finally decided to join on Saturday. Lucky to have friends who helped me with the registration :)

It was my first time joining the mud run. I was so excited the day before because I was told there were obstacles that you'll need to go through.

OMG. I tell you. This event is extreme. Because of the mud, the obstacles are just tough. The mud is so sticky and muddy. It's so hard to move around. There is this part of the obstacle where you have to swim through the mud. The last part was tough. It was so hard so sort of "swim" through the mud. I couldn't move. I seriously could not move. Those mud is extreme.

Another obstacle that I've encountered is my shoes! I wore the wrong shoes. I didn't want to use my sports shoes cause it's still a new sports shoes. I ended up wearing my sneakers and that was the worst decision ever. Lesson learnt. Never wear sneakers for a mud run event. My shoes were stuck in the mud at the first obstacle. I was like what. This is bad. It is just the first obstacle and my shoes are stuck. It got worse. Because my sneakers are old, the sole wears off. The last few kilometers, I have to rely on my friends to help me go through those obstacles. My sneakers are way too slippery to pass through the obstacles.

It was so cold after we finish the run. I was shivering. It was really cold when the wind blows. It felt good to finally change into clean clothes. It felt even better to be able to shower. I knew I had scratches on my knees from crawling in the mud. But I never knew it would be that bad. Those scratches were quite bad I would say. Not to mention those bruises. I even have scratches on my hands. I never really got hurt that bad before. Haha. It felt like I just got into a fight. I couldn't even walk properly! Walking is an obstacle now. It hurts to walk now! I had to walk slowly, up the stairs and into my room. That was tough.

I'm still in pain. Hahahahahahah. Ohmy. It was good though. It was a good experience. Hehehhehehehe.

Till next time.

26.4.2014 | Unlimited bowling for the day

Hello people! I'm back in action. Hehe.

Went to the bowling alley on Saturday with some friends. It was my first time going to the bowling alley here. Apparently there are only two bowling alley in Tasmania. One in Launceston and another in Hobart. Woke up early to get ready. I was so tired that time. I plan to tell my housemate and just sleep in. But nope. I force myself out of the bed and showerrrr.

Because it was a school holiday, you get to play as many times as you want for only 16.90 dollar. Haha. Unlimited game for the day! You get to play unlimited games until 5 in the evening! Worth it right! Imagine playing 10 games from 12 until 5 in the evening! 1.69 dollar per game! HAHA. Super cheap and worth it!

I think I did okay for the games. Haha. I usually wash the drains back in Kuching. BOTH DRAINS. LEFT AND RIGHT. Haha. But when I was playing the other day, I didn't wash as many drains as I did back then. Haha. Not bad right? :P

Even took my scores. Pretty good score. Haha. I played until my hips hurt! It really hurts! Played too much of a bowling. Haha. But it was a good day. Haven't play bowling for such a long time.

It's picture time!

First game! Not bad right! I scored 108 le! I'm proud of myself! Hahahaha. Three strikes! Hehehhehehehe.

Not bad eh? *chuckles*

122! Hahahahahahah. I'm so happy. Double strikes! :)

Anyway, I had lots of fun.

There was this one game that me, Martin and Hubert bet. Whoever lost have to pay for the ice cream. Haha. I thought I lost it. I only scored 82. But nope, I won Martin by a point. Hahahahhahahaha. We were all laughing at him. Because he was leading. But on the 10th throw, he missed. Twice. So he only scored 81. That was such a close match. It really was. Told him that there's no need to pay for the ice cream. But he insisted. Hahahaha. A bet is a bet. It was so funny. He was so close in betting my score. It could have been me who has to pay for the ice cream.

I really enjoyed myself at the bowling alley. I'm so going to play bowling when I go back to Kuching. Haha. I can't wait for that time to come.

Alrighty guys. It's time to sign off. Till next time.

Xoxo.

20.4.2014

Hello people!

I'm back to blogging. One week of holiday is ending soon! Where has the time gone? Anyway, it's a good thing too. This means I'm closer to going back home! :D

What have I been doing the past few days? Let's see.

Holiday starts on the Friday (18.4.2014). Hubert and few friends cooked delicious food. CURRY! No cooking for the day. Just enjoy the food prepared by the boys. It's so freaking yummy. With roasted chickens too! The skin is so crispy. I wonder how they made it. They had drinking session too. I drank this drink. I forgot what is it called. But I asked one of our friends and he said it's the root of a plant. So I guess it's good for your health. It doesn't taste bad. But it doesn't taste good either. Haha. Neutral. Hehe.

Drinking session did not end until the next day. We all slept in until afternoon. The guys were supposed to head to the church for the mass but nope. The mass started at 3 and they woke up at 2 something. Haha. So we ended up having leftovers curry and roasted chickens for lunch. After lunch, the guys went to buy some liquor. Apparently, when they reached uni, the bottle of Vodka broke and they drove back to the store and get another one.

Milestone achieved that day! I broke my 5km run! YES! I WAS SO HAPPY. I have been wanting to break this record! Finally.

The drinking session continues. It wasn't even 9.30 yet and Hubert was totally drunk. He kept talking and talking, asking people to shut up.

20.4.2014

Happy Easter Sunday people! There was a BBQ at Kerslake. FREE FOOD. HEHE. We have breads, bacons, eggs and pancakes. So delicious. Yummy.

There were many Easter eggs around the compound. There's this candy, pink marshmallow coated with milk Cadbury chocolate. IT WAS THE BOOM. I ate one and brought back two. HAHAHAHA. And... I left the rest on the chair. The view was breath taking. Sadly I did not take any photos. Food was awesome. It was a cooling sunny day. After the BBQ, Hubert, Martin, Dylan and I went to the common room. We played pool and ping pong. We were all so tired after that we went back to sleep. I was so tired I slept until 4.45 in the evening.

We had steamboat that night! Tom Yam soup! Yummy in the tummy. Steamboat for the Easter! :D The weather is getting cold each day. Steamboat is the best combination for the colder weather.

Pictures will be up soon.

Till here.

Xoxo.

Lazy Sunday | 13.4.2014

Hello people! I'm back again!

So I went to this event called "Lazy Sunday". It is an event where university students gather and talk. You can meet new friends there. Improve your social skills. :)

It is really a good event. I went there last Sunday and went again this Sunday. You get to play board games and eat!

So today, we played Monopoly. It's not the ones you always play, where you get to buy houses and hotels. This is different! This is Coca-cola monopoly! I never seen one before! It's so cool! There aren't any houses or hotels. There are six packs of cokes which are the houses in notmal monopoly. Vending machine as the hotel. It is super cool. Haha. Me Amanda Song and Charlie played this.

I really had a lot of fun playing this game! I'm happy to say that I win this game. Hahahaha. It was a nice game. After the game, we talked about our studies. Charlie is doing his Master in Teaching specializing in Mathematics and Science. It's nice to meet friends who's doing the same course as me. I mean as in they are doing education too! It's really nice knowing them. Had a really good chat with them.

I realized that I have change! In a good way of course. I guess I am more sociable. I am definitely more open up. When I am sad I'll just tell Daryl :P haha. I don't keep things to myself as much as I do last time. Which is a good thing. I am grateful for the things that I have. I appreciate the things that I have. I am much more happier now.

Of course there are times when I just feel hopeless and sad. But I know that it is just a bad day and not a bad life. I can choose to either let it bring me down or see things at the brighter side.

Anyways, I'm getting out of topic. Haha. After the event, I drove Hubert uncle's car. Hahahahaha. It was a manual car! It has been months since I last drove! Hahaha. I never like driving manual car. But I still drive anyway. Haha. I put the clutch too fast and it just stops. Haha. Four times! Ohmy. The consequence of not driving for months. Haha. It was good though. It's nice to drive again. :)

It was a good night. I really enjoy the talk and the game. I can't wait to go again next Sunday! Hehe.

That's all for now!

Ice cream cake!

Hello people!

So the other day, my senior and I made ice cream cake for our Korean friend for her birthday. We made chocolate ice cream cake.

It was my first time making ice cream cake. I have no idea how to make one. But I did watch videos on how to make ice cream cake back in the days.

I found this video on YouTube. It looks simple. Not much recipes. I love these kind of recipes. Simple and easy. :)

Ingredients that you'll need are:
1. Heavy cream (1 cup)
2. Condensed milk (150 ml)
3. Cocoa powder (60 ml)

That's it! It's like the main ingredients.

1. Combine both the cocoa powder and condensed milk.

2. Beat the heavy cream.

3. Pour the combined cocoa powder and condensed milk into the beaten heavy cream.

That's it! Pour it into container and freeze it for at least six hours.

It's done. Quick and easy.

You can decorate it with anything you like. :)

Apparently it's not bad! Seriously. I made ice cream before. But I never really like those. My bro love those. But it's a no no for me. But for this recipe! It's surprisingly good! I like this better than the last two recipes. It's not too sweet. It's just nice :)

Hehe. Gonna try something else next time. That's all for now :)

Trip to Beaconfield and Beauty Point | 11.4.2014

Hello people! It's time for me to blog again. Been busy with assignments. Down with 3. Going to hand another one soon! Wish me luck okay! Hehe.

Anyways, I went to the mining site (Beaconfield) and Beauty point to see the platypus and seahorse! This trip is so much better then the first trip that I went. Maybe because of the weather. It was scorching the last trip but this trip, it was windy. I'll tell you how strong the wind was in a moment.

At the mining site, we get to see the ore where they extract the gold. The building is so old and nice. There's this golden hand; a sign to tell you that you can touch the button or press the thingy. And it will work. It is so cool. It's so cold over there! The wind is so strong! Haha.

We went to Beauty Point next. Where the platypus and seahorse are. I have neither see a playtypus not a seahorse before. Oh maybe seahorse. But not platypus. It's a mammal that lays eggs. Mammals give birth right? But not this. This mammal lays eggs. I don't really enjoy the playtypus. Lol. Because it's not cute I guess. Haha.

We then went to see the Kinder. I reckon that's how you spell it. Not really sure though. Haha. It looks like a porcupine. Haha. I'll show you a picture of them in a moment.

Then we went to see the seahorse! It smells inside. But it was okay. Haha. There were sea dragon too! I never seen a sea dragon before! It's my first time! It's so pretty and beautiful! We were told that male seahorses lay eggs! And that a seahorse once laid 1001 seahorses! Maximum! But normally it's few hundreds.

Oh oh! You know what's funny?! They use seahorse for medicine and apparently it's good for the guys! And if you want to have more babies please recommend your husband to eat some seahorses! Hahahahah. The your guide was like 'This is why I have six children!'. Hahahahhaha. So funny ar. Haha.

We get to touch the seahorse too! And get to touch and hold hermit crab! I'll show you those pictures now!

See how strong the wind is! My hair!

That's all for now! I'll be back for more blog post!

Xoxo!
