This is another Singapore drama that I've been watching.

Here's the story. Had no idea why the story I got from Wikipedia is so short.

The plot revolves around a group of young professionals involved in investigative journalism. Two journalists team up with a wealthy businessman and a lawyer to help solve cases for those in need. As they investigate further, they uncover more secrets and dark truths behind some of the crimes.

I'm halfway there. It is quite an interesting drama to watch.

This is a Singapore drama. Released not long ago. This drama is not bad.

So here's a synopsis of the drama. Haha. Enjoy reading.

In a block of 4-room flats at a particular housing estate, the two families of Hao Youcai and Niu Wuyin live opposite each other. As business rivals, sparks occasionally fly between them. Youcai's name may mean "wealthy", but he often has no luck with money. On the other hand, the overbearing Wuyin or "penniless" does not only enjoy a thriving business but he has the Midas touch as well. He is certainly loaded with "pounds".

An honest and kind man, Youcai does not have the gift of the gab but is tolerant as far as possible. However, his wife Luona has a vicious tongue that spares nobody for no rhyme or reason. On top of that, she covets wealth and power, despising her low-earning husband. She is tyrannical and harsh towards her 70-year-old mother-in-law. Wuyin's septuagenarian father, however, has a "blessed" life. His son and daughter-in-law treasure him. When he moans about his aching body, a massage chair worth a few thousand dollars is delivered immediately to the house. Youcai's mother can only drool in envy. Wuyin has a way with people and he is eloquent. He remains "refined" even in a quarrel, diffusing any tense situation with a soft touch. Money is his life, and he can never earn enough. He is ever ready to perform good deeds, but not when they demand his money. Hardworking and frugal, his wife Xiuhua is not one to complain.

Both families sell "handmade fishball noodles" at their stalls in a food centre. "Niuji" stall enjoys brisk business while "Haoji" stall suffers from poor business.

The sight of the other party decked in jewellery while she is pathetically bare in that aspect makes Luona moan all day to the extent that she pinches her mother-in-law out of spite. Unfortunately, the "act of violence" is captured on camera by her daugther and uploaded to YouTube. It even hits the headlines. In no time, people are demanding that she be punished and going on a hunt to ferret out this wicked woman. Youcai is aware that the culprit is his wife and loses his cool. Instead of being remorseful, Luona flies into a fury. She leaves home with her daughter, threatening to engage a lawyer to initiate divorce proceedings.

Disillusioned, Youcai reaches the point of contemplating suicide but is stopped by his mother. To console her son, she fabricates a story that a deity appeared in her dream to prophesise that his hardship days will soon be over. The deity also bestowed on her a "good luck rice bin" (which is actually a junk she retrieved from the rubbish dump) and promised that the rice bin would always be full and that his life would be free from worry.

Whether it is his filial piety that moves the Heaven or it is simply mere coincidence, Youcai's luck changes for the better the moment his wicked wife leaves home. His fishballs are favoured by a renowned chef and he is invited to appear on TV. He becomes famous overnight. Customers begin to stream towards his stall. Wuyin's business is badly affected and a series of misfortune befalls him. It appears that the wheel of fortune has turned. With Lady Luck smiling on him, Youcai enters a lucky draw and wins a car. Soon, the story of how the "prosperous rice bin" changes his fortune starts to circulate to the point of becoming a legend. Despite Youcai's mother frantically explaining that it is purely nonsense perpetuated by her, nobody is convinced. Hordes of people flock to the rice bin to "seek fortune and lottery numbers". Luona banishes the thought of divorce upon hearing of it. She wants to return home to be a virtuous wife and a filial daughter-in-law. Wuyin, who is down on his luck, actually plans to steal Youcai's "prosperous rice bin"...

Apart from these two families, this drama has a slew of interesting characters, including the "manager" whose job is to assist a loan shark in hosting "overseas talents" (foreign runners); the "Yong Tau Foo Beauty" and her 20-year-old only son who still relies on his mother to trim his nails; the fengshui master who is a quack; new immigrants married to locals who are eager to assimilate into the country; "opposition parties" fond of exaggerating for the shock effect and who "opposes" everything; the Fish Prince who is unfazed by his lowly status but believes that he who tills diligently will reap a bountiful harvest, etc. The stories of these people reflect the everyday issues currently confronting Singaporeans. For example, the hardship imposed on ordinary citizens as a result of the rising cost of living; indulging the next generation and making it even more difficult for children to face challenges; the impact that an aging population has on society; the marginalization of grassroot communities; the widening gulf between people... The 34-episode drama provides light entertainment while pinpointing current issues in a heartwarming and down-to-earth portrayal.

Unlimited wants.

Yes. You heard me. Unlimited wants.

Did I mentioned that I cracked my phone while finding the Hitz Fugitive? Pity phone. It cracked. So decided to change to iPhone 5. iPhone 5 was launched on the 13th of December. The second day I'm in Singapore! How sad is that! Wanted to get the iPhone before going to Singapore. But sadly, it can't be fulfilled. Well, it's okay. Cause now, I've got he phone that I want. And at least I have a camera with me during my trip to Singapore. So my wants for iPhone 5 is fulfilled.

Next. Camera lens. There is this lens that I want for quite sometimes. And I finally get to own one. It's a portrait lens.

Thirdly, a purse and a handbag. Got myself both of them in Singapore. On my last day in Singapore. How happy I can be. To have both wants that I want just before going back to Kuching.

PerfumeS. Yes. With capital 'S'. Bought two that I really liked. And it's cheaper than in Kuching. Double the happiness. Could have bought the Abercrimbie and Fitch's perfume. But it was too expensive. Never mind. Next time I'm gonna own one!

iPhone 5 cover! Bought two in Singapore. And it's in my budget list! So happy. Should've bought more. But oh wells. It's okay. Haha. At least got the cover that I like.

Jeans. Bought myself two jeans from the same shop. Really love the color and the quality.  It's quite expensive but I'm happy.

Singapore trip.

It's been a long time since I last blog. I've been to Singapore for vacation with my friends. We were there for 9 days. Yes. Nine freaking days. But nine days just went by like how wind blows. Where can we find so much money to pay for our accommodation? Nah. We stayed at our friend's place. At Ang Mo Kio. So our accommodation has settled. Thanks to our friend! We saved a lot from the accommodation. Time flies. 9 days just pooffffeeeeeddd. Our trip to Singapore was fun. Bought clothes for Chinese New Year. Bought the perfumeS I wanted so much. It's cheap to buy perfume in Singapore than in Kuching. It's way cheaper. Even after you convert the prices. So I bought this Ralph Lauren's perfume which costs me 78 Singapore dollar. After converting it, it costs less than 200. And it's 100ml some more! I checked the prices for the exact same perfume in Kuching and it costs 240! See! How cheap it can be! I should have bought more! Never mind. I will have the chance to go to Singapore again. I also bought Taylor Swift's perfume. It smells so nice and sweet. I almost bought Abercrombie and Fitch's perfume too! But it's way too expensive. So didn't buy any from there. Talking about abercrombie and fitch, my friends and I took photoS with the model! He is one handsome man! His abs are so obvious! I went there a few time. And he is the best model I've seen! We even talked! So happy! Bought myself a dress. Only managed to buy one dress. I bought two jeans that I really really fancy. It's quite expensive but the quality is good. Went to the exact same shop four times. And bought four stuffs for four different receipts. Haha. Bought a purse and a handbag from there too. Purse and handbag were bought last minute. The same day I flew back to Kuching. But I'm happy. I get to have the purse and handbag that I really like. Bought Garrett's popcorn! It's so nice! Kuching, you should open one Garrett's stall too! Also bought Royce's chocolate. Spent a lot the last day. This is my second trip to Singapore. The first time I went, universal studio were  not established yet. So this year, I went there with my friends. It was fun. Really fun. Especially the rides. Transformer ride was so cool. Mummy's ride is not bad too. There is this dance group performing. And we managed to ask our friend to join. It was so funny. I even have a video of it. There is this ride thingy at Clarke Quey. Went there with my friends. We went on the ride. Although it costs 30 Singapore Dollar, it was one experience. You have to have the guts to sit on that ride. I'm happy that I went to that ride. It's a one in a lifetime experience. We walked from day till night. It was really tiring, but at least we bought clothes and stuffs. Talking about ice-cream. Everyday, there will be this small stall, selling ice-cream. May it be from the wall's ice-cream ir the mangolia's ice-cream. People are buying ice-cream from them. Why is that so? Because their ice-cream only costs 1 singapore dollar! It's super yummy. Trust me. After having one, you want to have another one. it's really tasty. All in all I had fun in Singapore.

Game Plan. 千方百计

I've been watching this Singapore Drama for few days. Finally I finished watching this drama. This is really a very nice drama to watch. It's different from other dramas that I've seen. So here is a synopsis of the drama. 

:On Xintong's wedding day, her groom, Adam, was nowhere to be seen. When she returned home, she was surrounded by her debtors. Xintong realized that she has fallen into a trap set by Adam, a love cheat. Not only was she cheated of her life savings; she now has a huge debt to repay. In the darkest moments of her life, a shining light of hope appeared. She was told that a swindler was about to be released from jail. With his help, there may be hope for Xintong.

As Haoren stepped out of the prison gates, Xintong approached him and made her intentions clear. She gave him all the money she had. Haoren wanted her to wait for him. As the sun set and rose again, Xintong realized that she had been tricked again. Her body could not hold out and she fainted.

When she awoke, she found herself in an unknown place. Haoren wants her to follow his instructions without question. Under the meticulous planning of Haoren's team, Xintong managed to get her money back and expose Adam of his evil deeds.

Haoren continued to help Xintong solve a few more cases, in the process helping Junwei, a police officer, bust a few crime syndicates. Haoren chose to remain low-profile, pushing the credit to Xintong and Junwei. Xintong was curious of Haoren's background but he chose to keep it secret.

Xintong began to develop feelings for Haoren. After much internal struggle, she mustered up her courage to tell him but was rejected. She learnt from the others that he still deeply loves his ex-girlfriend. She started to avoid him but Moyan had other ideas.

Since young, Mo Yan and Haoren have been good friends, but little did Haoren know that Moyan has long been carrying a torch for him. She sent her men to keep a watch on Haoren and disguised herself to get close to Xintong, to get closer to Haoren. Due to a kidnapping of Xintong by Ziguang, Mo Yan tried to save her but an accident took away Xintong's sight. Haoren was devastated and blamed Mo Yan for this. Mo Yan tried to fend for herself but Haoren insist that it was her fault. Mo Yan became angry at his accusations and decided to get revenge on him.

Haoren and Mo Yan engaged in a battle of wits, with Xintong as pawn for revenge when she regained her memories. Mo Yan made the first step by ordering Xintong to spike his food and drinks with drugs. In order to have a peaceful life with Xintong, Haoren disbanded his group but was furious at their refusal to leave. The group members figured something was out of place, they decided to put hidden cameras in the house. XIaogui went to deal with Mo Yan after finding out about the drug and being chased away by Haoren when she told him the truth. Xiaogui was caught by Mo Yan who set a trap. Junwei was suspected and forced to kill Xiaogui to prove his loyalty. After finding out about Xiaogui's death, Haoren was furious but is arrested by the police as Xiaogui's murderer. Xintong testified against Haoren for revenge after regaining her sight and Haoren was sentenced to jail.

Later, Xintong found out that it was Xiaogui that donated her cornea so that Xintong may once again see and regretted taking revenge. She tried to testify for Haoren at the court but was too late. Mo Yan threatened to expose Junwei if Haoren did not plead guilty. In order to protect his brother, Haoren pleaded guilty and was sentenced to jail. At that time, Xintong found out she was pregnant and Haoren decided to fight back against Mo Yan. He escaped prison with Zi Guang and Keli unintentionally helping him. Then, he went to his safe house and battled against Mo Yan with the help of Xiaogui's technology.

After a few rounds, Haoren is seemingly at the losing end and the last duel was a the rooftop. Mo Yan captured Junwei, his mother, Keli and Xintong to threatened him to rejoin the Organisation. Seeing that he has No other way out, Haoren Jumped off the building. Haoren planned his suicide to find evidence against Mo Yan. He had the police, Shi Yun and Cheng Cai help him to stage his 'death'. A truck full of boxes and styrofoam was placed behind a wall in which Haren jumped into and a fake corpse under the truck as a decoy.

Mo Yan is devastated by Haoren's 'death' and added drugs to her drinks and roast duck so that she may once see Haoren in her hallucinations. Haoren used this to his advantage and tricked her into spilling the beans with the police hidden, but present. In the end, Mo Yan revealed everything to the police in her drugged up state. Upon realising that she had already been duped by Haoren, she committed suicide in front of Haoren and the police.

Haoren reunited with Xintong and Junwei but he turned himself in to the police and is relieved Junwei was not charged for Xiaogui's murder. In the meantime, Junwei and Keli rekindle their relationship and he told her he will wait for her while she is in jail by putting a ring on her finger. A few months later, Xintong gave birth to the child.

10 years later, due to a composition competition, Xintong told her son the truth about his father, allowing him to choose to forgive or despise his father. His son choose to forgive by going to pick his father from jail and the family reunite.

Breaking Dawn Part 2.

Went to the cinema yesterday with Eric. Watched Breaking Dawn Part 2! The movie is just awesome. It has a combination of romance, thriller and fantasy. Their daughter is so cute! It's worth watching. Really is worth watching. They all look so cute and happy as a family. I think Breaking Dawn Part 2 is the best movie that I've watched among all the Twilight movies. It's not a boring story at all. It's so cool. They have super powers. They can run like Dash from the movie Incredibles. They glow under the sun. They drink blood. They are all pretty and handsome. It's just so awesome. :D

Just Another Normal Sunday.

Bought two phone wallets from Groupon. It's a freaking phone wallet. But I can't seem to put money inside. Cause the compartments are just too small. ;O why? sad. Oh well. Nevermind. Just stick to the purse I'm using right now. Went to Plaza Merdeka yesterday. Bought a pair of shoe! Imma happy girl :D Bought Hush Puppies shirts too. Cause they have salessssssss! Recently, I made ice cream. Yes. Homemade ice cream. It tastes okay. ._. Just try and make it for fun. I did mention on one of my posts that I want to bake a cake. So I did. Well, I didn't bake it cause it's-a-no-bake-cake. I don't have to bake it. Just put it inside the fridge and ta-da.
