Steamboat time!

Yes! It's steamboat time! I don't usually eat steamboat back in Malaysia. But now that I'm in Tasmania and that there isn't any place that sells steamboat in Launceston, you can just make your own. DIY. HAHA. Kidding. Anyway, my friend had been wanting to eat steamboat for quite sometime. So we decided to make our own steamboat session last Sunday. Everything is prepared and the feast began. IT WAS THE BEST NIGHT EVER. STEAMBOAT FOR DINNER. AWESOME MUCH.

It felt like home. Like I am back in Malaysia. That amazing feeling. How can I describe this moment. It's just priceless. Me and my friends are so gonna have steamboat at least once a month. 

We had tomyam for the base soup. Haha Sadly, the soup didn't turn out as great as we expected. But thanks to Joel, my senior, he has these Korean paste. So he 'modify' the soup by mixing it with the korean pastes etc. The soup turns out great. The perks of having a friend who loves cooking. Haha. The five of us (Amanda, me, Hubert, Martin and Joel) had an awesome dinner. All of us are Chinese except my housemate. Martin taught him how to use chopsticks. Haha. What's steamboat without chopsticks? You need to have chopsticks for steamboat cause that's how Chinese roll. HAHAHAHA. But we all don't know the authentic way of using chopsticks. So we taught him the easiest way which is obviously the wrong way too. We ate for hours. We were so full. No wait we were more than just full. Bloated much. Haha. We were too full that we decided to go for a walk. The walk really helped. Not as bloated but still bloated. We had so much leftovers. The steamboat session is really a good idea for gathering. We talked and laughed. So funny. Too bad there weren't much beer left for the guys. I'm sure if there's a carton of beer, they're gonna finish them that night. Or maybe not. But at least half of a carton. My friends really can drink. I enjoyed the night. 

Gonna upload some photos. Not much though. Cause we are all busy eating filling our stomach with awesome food. Haha. Definitely have to take more pictures next time!
