Monsters University

For some reasons, which I don't know what it is, I didn't get to watch Monsters University when it's out in the cinema. I've watched it's trailer and man I got to say it's gonna be a great movie. But somehow, I didn't watch. So meh. 

My cousin came to my house overnight while she's still in Kuching and she downloaded Monsters University on my laptop. Apparently, she hasn't watch it too. Yeah, we're outdated. o.o

Aiya, better late than never right? 

So after I watched the movie, I give one thumb up! Haha. I gotta say Wolverine is still the best. Okay, let's give Monsters University two thumbs up for a Disney movie. 

I love Mike's voice when he's younger. It's really cute! I cannot tahan ar! This movie taught me that team work is one crucial key to be the best team. You cannot depend on one person to do everything. Everyone has it's own unique talent. Make the best out of everyone. 

You gotta work hard to achieve what you want in life. Like what Mike did. Don't be a lazy bum bum. 

Here's the plot:-

Michael "Mike" Wazowski, a six-year-old monster, visits Monsters Inc., the most famous scaring company in Monstropolis, on a school field trip. The class meets Frank McCay, an employee of the company who works as a "scarer", entering the human world to scare children at night and harvesting their screams as energy to power the monster world. Fascinated, Mike slips through Frank's door before anyone can stop him, where he watches Frank's scare performance, then follows him back through the door to the monster world. Frank scolds Mike, but is impressed having followed him unnoticed, and gives him his Monsters University hat as a souvenir. Oblivious to his teacher's later admonishments, Mike dreams of being a scarer when he grows up.

Approximately eleven years later,^[8] Mike is a scare major at Monsters University.^[9] On his first day, he meets his new roommate, Randall "Randy" Boggs, a nerdy chameleon-like monster. On the first day of class, the strict Dean of the scare program Abigail Hardscrabble informs the students that they must pass their final exam of the semester to continue in the program. As Mike is answering a question, he is interrupted by another scare student, an arrogant^[8] large blue monster named James P. "Sulley" Sullivan. While Mike is studying one night, Sulley inadvertently barges into his room to hide the pig mascot he stole from their rival college, Fear Tech. While the two introduce themselves, the pig steals Mike's MU hat and escapes. Mike and Sulley give chase and Mike captures it, but Sulley takes credit and is invited to join Roar Omega Roar, the elite fraternity on campus. Mike wants to join, but is rejected, starting a rivalry between the two.^[10][11][12]

Mike studies hard and answers questions in class correctly, while the privileged Sulley, relying on his natural scaring ability, begins to falter. At the final exam, Mike and Sulley's rivalry causes Hardscrabble to fail them both and dropping them from the program, prompting Roar Omega Roar to remove Sulley from the fraternity. Unsatisfied in his boring new major, Mike decides to prove himself by entering the Scare Games, an extracurricular scaring competition. As the games are only for fraternity or sorority members, Mike joins Oozma Kappa, a small fraternity of misfit monsters that was also removed from the scaring program. Oozma Kappa is denied entry as they are one team member short. Seeing the competition as his ticket back into the scare program Sulley also joins and Mike reluctantly accepts. Mike also makes a deal with Dean Hardscrabble, who remains skeptical, to re-admit their entire team to the scaring program if they win, whereas if they lose, Mike must leave Monsters University. Sulley expects to carry the team by himself, but Mike believes that with enough training, the whole team can succeed.

Oozma Kappa fails the first challenge miserably but miraculously advances when another team is disqualified. Soon they attend the Roar Omega Roar's party where the other competitors humiliate and discourage Oozma Kappa. Mike arranges a secret visit to Monsters, Inc. to lift their spirits and giving them the wits and training to advance to the final round against Roar Omega Roar. Sulley still doubts Mike can be a true scarer. After the team wins the final round, Mike discovers that Sulley cheated to improve Mike's score. Determined to prove he is capable of becoming a scarer, Mike breaks into the school's door lab and enters a door to the human world, but discovers that the door leads to a summer camp and he is unable to scare the cabin full of kids.

Back at the university, Sulley confesses to Hardscrabble that he cheated, just as she's notified of the break-in. Realizing what happened, Sulley enters the door to look for Mike. After finding Mike and reconciling, the pair, now being pursued by human adults, attempt to return, but find themselves trapped in the human world, as Hardscrabble has deactivated the door while waiting for the authorities to arrive. Mike realizes that the only way to get back into the monster world is to generate enough scream energy to power the door from their side.

Working together, Sulley and Mike terrify the adults, generating an overwhelming amount of scream energy and allowing them to return to the lab. Their actions lead to their expulsion from the university, but the other members of Oozma Kappa are accepted into the scare program the next semester as Hardscrabble was impressed with their performance in the games. They share goodbyes and as Sulley and Mike leave; Hardscrabble tells them they are the first to have surprised her and wishes them luck for the future. Mike and Sulley work at Monsters, Inc. in the company mailroom with the Abominable Snowman as the mailroom's manager. Working their way up through the company, the two eventually become part of the Scarer Team.

So cute right?! Haha.

Chocolate chip cookies!

So I made these chocolate chip cookies after watching a video. The recipe is simple. So why not give it a try. No harm trying aite?

All you need are:-

1. Sugar 

2. Salt

3. Vanilla essence

4. Two big eggs

5. Flour

6. Butter 

7. Baking powder

And last but not least, chocolate chips. What's chocolate chip cookies without chocolate chips? Meh. 

I took me almost an hour. Okay, I'm slow. Slowpoke. But better than nothing right? At least I give it a try. 

Reminder:

These cookies are gooey and not the crispy ones. Not the typical chips more that you buy in the supermarket. 

Some might not like it, but I think it's okay for me. It's a success! Never try never know. Hehe. I shall try something else next time. Something simple. Simple is perfect. Not too much. Simple is just nice.

I'm gonna update the quantities of the ingredients. And some pictures. If you would like to see the outcome. Meh! You must see even if you don't want to. And it's all up to you whether or not you want to try it out.

-July's Favorites!-

I know i know. I am a copycat. Meh. People are always making a video about their favorites. So I thought, why not I blog about my favorite too? Just that I'll type it out and not talk in front the camera. I'm a shy girl okay. HAHA.

1. Perfume/Parfum

Prefer EDP than EDT because it lasts longer. Love this smell. The word 'romance' suits this smell. Love how sexy this perfume smells. Haha. Maybe some won't like this smell. Some may prefer sweet smell. Those who love a romantic smell will definitely love this smell.

See how cute the bottle is! There's also this cute little ribbon flower attached to it. 

2. Instant Camera

My new love! I have a smaller instant camera that I got for my birthday last year. Okay. I am greedy. I want more. Haha. Because I want to collect them! Lol. Okay, maybe I shouldn't get the small instant camera. Partly because I already have one. But I definitely gonna buy the bigger ones. Because I want to and I don't have one. Haha. Those who read my blog would've known that I went to Thailand few weeks back and got this baby home! It's cheaper there! That's a bonus for me!

I never knew this would be this big. I was kinda shocked when the sales girl took it out from the box. I was like 'Is this camera that big?'. It's so different from the small ones.

- Comes with so many buttons!

So I didn't really look what's inside the box. But after I did, I found this. I think it's an external lens. Sort of. I never knew it existed. Haha. Until I looked into the box and saw it.

3. New turquoise phone case! 

I've been wanting to get a transparent phone case. Mainly because I saw some DIY Phone Cases on YouTube and decided to give it a try. But couldn't find one that I really love. Found this at Plaza Merdeka! It's RM 19.90. And I love the turquoise color! I love this color very much!

Another thing I love about this case is that it protects the whole phone. Even the upper and lower part of the phone. That's the good part about it. 

4. Royce's Chocolate! 

There was supposed to be a photo of it. But I don't know why I couldn't tilt it! 

Not to worry. I googled it. HAHAHAHA. That's what Google is for right? Bought two packets of this in Thailand! This is the second time. The first time was when I was in Singapore last year. It's cheaper in Singapore. It's okay! It's so yummy I couldn't resist! I couldn't get them in Kuching okay. I had to buy even if it's more expensive. Meh. Banyak macam. It's super delicious okay! It's different from other chocolates.  

Nama Chocolate [Au Lait]

A blend of the choicest milk chocolate and fresh cream make it rich and smooth.

I don't know why it's called nama chocolate? Any clue why?

5. Avocados! 

The first time I tried was when I went to Perth, which was more than a month ago. Ordered this Avocado Salad. And it was superb! It's so yummy! I don't think it has any taste le. Okay, maybe a bit. But the taste is not that strong. It was so expensive! Bought two from Choice Premier. Guess how much they cost? RM8.90 if I'm not wrong. It's so expensive! Well, never bought one before. So don't know how much they cost.

Bought for the second time. And man it was way cheaper. Same brand. From Australia. And it only cost RM4.99 per avocado! It's half of the price. Can you imagine?! 

I saw this family who went to Upwell and they were looking at the avocados. I asked the man how do you choose avocados? Haha. First timer ma. And he told me. He even told me that Sunday market sold this for like RM 10 per kg. 

Lesson learnt: Never buy avocados at Choice Premier. 

Because I didn't know so I googled it. That's what Google is made for!

6. ._. 

Okay. I don't know what this place is called. But I can tell you the location. It's beside Emporium. Love this place! They sell fast food. And they have a variety of food to choose from.
Been going there lately for brunch! Love eating them with porridge. I love how they put sweet potatoes with the porridge. Add to the taste.

7. Piano. 

Digital piano to be exact. Been wanting to have one since I was young! My wish came true this year! Got this for my birthday. *dancing dancing* The happiest thing that could happen is when you get to get anything you wish for your birthday. And my wish is to have a piano. Digital piano is good enough! 

There's no picture for this. It's a secret for now.

8. Favorite quote of the month!

The Wolverine

The Wolverine is out in the cinema people! This movie is so awesome! Two thumbs up! It's really good. At least for me. Haha. It's way better than The Lone Ranger. 

Love this movie much! One of the best movies I've seen this year.

So, did I pay for the ticket? The answer is NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. HEHEHEHE. Whyyyyyyyyyyy? Because I got the ticket for free. AGAIN. HEHE. My cousin and I went to find the Hitz cruisers near this new supermarket. They were giving our free tickets to watch The Wolverine at MBO on Friday, 8pm. Had to play game to win the tickets. The last two standing will each get one pair of tickets. We played 369. How do you play this game? It's very simple. Just clap your hands when it comes to your turn and the number is either 3,6 or 9. If it's 36, you clapped twice. If you were to say 36 and didn't clap your hand, YOU'RE OUT! That's it. Simple

as that. 

I was so close in getting those tickets! But I didn't pay attention when it comes to my turn so there goes the tickets. On the other hand, my cousin won the ticket. Haha. So he asked if I want to watch. And of course I say yes! I WANT TO WATCH THE WOLVERINE. HAHA. 

Okay, we each have a ticket. Bad news? We sit at the FIRST ROW. HOW TO WATCH LIKE THAT. LOLOLOLOL. BUT. WE'RE LUCKY! HAHA. Third row is empty. So few of us moved to the third row. Hahahaha. Surprisingly, I think third row is not bad. Seriously. Compared to GSC, THIRD ROW IS SO NEAR. But MBO, for me it's okay. I enjoyed myself so much watching the movie.

It's so entertaining as compared to The Lone Ranger. This movie is hilarious, so much of an adventure, so much of an action movie and much more.  

Here's the plot:-

Logan retreats to the Canadian wilderness following the death of Jean Grey and the disbanding of the X-Men, where he is tormented by hallucinations of Jean, whom he was forced to kill, and of the Nagasaki bombing in 1945. One day, after getting into a fight with some hunters, he is located byYukio, a woman with mutant powers enabling her to see people's deaths, representing Yashida, the CEO of a technology corporation, who is dying of cancer. Logan saved Yashida's life when he was a prisoner of latter while at a Japanese POW camp near Nagasaki during its bombing, and Yashida wants Logan to accompany Yukio to Japan to return the favor.

In Tokyo, Logan meets Yashida's son Shingen and Shingen's daughter, Mariko. Yashida offers to conduct a transplant, removing Logan's immortality and transferring it to himself. Logan refuses and prepares to leave the following day. That night, while Logan dreams of Jean, Yashida's doctor, the mutant Viper, injects a robotic parasite in Logan's system, which affects his healing factor. The next morning, Logan is informed that Yashida has died, and attends the funeral, where he saves Mariko from Yakuza assassins with help from Yashida's associate Kenuichio Harada, a skilled archer and Mariko's former lover, who still loves her. In the process, Logan is shot and finds out he is not healing as before.

After fighting more assassins on a bullet train, Logan and Mariko hide in a local hotel. While Mariko sleeps, Logan stands guard outside and experiences another hallucination of Jean before passing out from his injuries. When he awakens, he discovers that Mariko had the hotel owner's grandson, a veterinarian, stitch him up. Meanwhile, Harada meets with Viper who, after demonstrating her mutant powers on him, demands he find Logan and Mariko.

Logan and Mariko go to Yashida's house in Nagasaki. As they slowly fall for each other, Logan starts revealing his past to Mariko. Meanwhile, Yukio has a vision of Logan dying, and goes to warn him. However, she is too late and Mariko is captured. After interrogating one of her kidnappers, Logan goes to confront Mariko's fiance, corrupt Chief of Justice Noburo Mori, who reveals that Shingen has ordered the kidnapping.

At Yashida Corporation's headquarters, Shingen reveals Yashida has left Mariko his empire, and prepares to kill her when Harada arrives with his Black Ninja clan and Viper; Harada rescues Mariko, while Viper poisons Shingen. They then take Mariko to a research center based in Yashida's home town.

Arriving at Yashida Corporation with Yukio, Logan uses Yashida's medical technology to locate the parasite and extract it, but appears to die during the operation. Yukio is attacked by Shingen, who prepares to kill her when Logan awakens and intervenes, killing Shingen. Logan and Yukio then follow Harada and Viper to a research center, where Logan is attacked and captured by Harada and his men.

Logan is placed in a machine by Viper, who reveals her plans to extract his immortality and introduces Logan to her associate, the Silver Samurai, who has an adamantium sword and the ability to charge it with energy to increase its cutting power. After talking with Harada, who believes he is protecting her still, Mariko escapes and manages to direct the machine Logan is in into the Silver Samurai's sword strike, breaking it and freeing him. Harada sees the error of his ways and is killed by the Silver Samurai while helping Logan escape. Meanwhile, Yukio arrives and defeats Viper by hanging her, while Logan fights the Silver Samurai, who cuts off his adamantium claws and begins to extract Logan's healing abilities, revealing himself to be Yashida, who had faked his death and starts to regain his youth. Mariko intervenes and stabs Yashida with the discarded claws, giving Logan the opportunity to disable the armor with his bone claws and throw Yashida off a cliff before passing out. While unconscious, Logan once again hallucinates about Jean, and finally moves on from her death.

Mariko becomes CEO of Yashida Corporation and bids farewell to Logan as he prepares to leave Japan. Yukio vows to stay by Logan's side as his bodyguard, and they depart to places unknown.

In a post-credits scene, Logan returns to the United States two years after the events in Japan, and watches an ad for Trask Industries and their advances in the field of robotics before being confronted by Magneto, with his powers restored. Magneto announces that Logan's help is required to stop a new enemy that threatens to exterminate the mutant race. When Logan inquires why he should trust Magneto, Professor Charles Xavier arrives to reassure him. Logan is surprised to see Xavier alive, and Xavier reminds Logan that he is not the only one with gifts.

Kuching Festival

Heh. Went Kuching Festival again for the third time with Freda, Jacq, Kah Sing, Lionel and Jet. It was a Friday. The first thing I did when we reach was to buy fried mushrooms. My love.*drools* I wonder how they fried it. It's super delicious. Couldn't resist. Hehe. Saw a lot of my friends there. Could even list them down :-

Moment of truth..

It was okay. I don't think it's very very very very yummy. It's just okay. Lol. Sorry guys. Some people think that it's nice. Some people doesn't like it. I don't understand why the queue is so long? Is it because it's something new and they wanna try to taste or is it because it's delicious? For us, of course we wanna try. It's something new. Everyone's always
getting super excited when there's new stuff. No?  

Didn't really eat much. Maybe because I ate too much of the Taiwan sausages that I couldn't stuffed myself with other food. Ate these mini ice-cream for the second time. The first time was last year. Ice-cream is still this yummy. 

See! How cute! It's not very pricey too. It's affordable.

This is nice. I tell you! This Pik Ai ate five of these! Lol. It's the once I mention on the previous post. About the grape coated with sugar syrup. It's RM 2 per stick. With four grapes.

BBQ CORN! HAHA.

This is yummy! Really love this! I think it's quite expensive. It's RM 3 per corn. 

But it's delicious. I would definitely buy again if I were to go to Kuching Fest. 

I was crazy that day. Or should I say yellow-minded the whole night? Or horny? Lol. Definitely not horny la. But I agree if you say it's yellow-minded. Haha. But everyone laughed. It's worth it. Haha. So there was these conversations where me and Jet were talking and it goes like this:-

J: I thought you're a male? 

Me: Yea, I am a male.

J: If you're a male, what's that sticking out of your chest? (He's saying boobs if you don't get it)

Me: Oh that. That's my muscles. HAHAHAHA.

And there goes my dirty-minded jokes. They laughed. Heh. Funny meh? 
There's more. We were talking in Chinese. So when we wanna buy let say sausages. They come in stick. And stick in Chinese is called 'zhi'. I hope this is the correct spelling. Anyway, even if it's not it doesn't matter. Haha. This is not Chinese writing competition la. Then we're like 'ni yao something(i forgot how the pin yin is spelled) zhi?'

Translation:- How many sticks do you want? ( If you're yellow-minded enough, you'll find it funny) 

It goes on throughout the night. There were so many people. May it be children to adults. Everyone's 'cray cray' about Kuching Festival, don't they? 'Cray cray' is another word for crazy okay?

Logos Hope.

Logos Hope is back in Kuching! It was here last year too. But didn't get to go. So I'm not gonna miss this chance to visit Logos Hope! I couldn't remember the last time I've been there. It's been too long. I think it was when I was still in primary school. Man. That's long. How time flies. 

Snapped some photos during the visit. Unfortunately you'll have to wait. Haha. Because I'm using my laptop now and photos are in my phone. Sorry guys. You'll have to wait. 

The weather was super duper hot. It's burning! The sun is really scorching that afternoon. Weather's been pretty crazy lately. It's so hot in the afternoon and started raining in the evening. Walao eh. Want to go to Kuching Fest also cannot. I want fried mushrooms le! 

Wanted to go to the upper deck but we're not allowed to! Why?! I want to go and see. Meh. After Logos Hope we went to Jubillee. Eat ice kacang! It's been quite some time since I last when there too! Omg. Maybe more than a month. 

I've heard about JPMart selling sushi. But I've never been there before. I also don't know where it is. Lol. So Lionel brought us there. Maybe we're kinda late when we get there, I don't see much choices. Want to buy some avocados back home. So we went to Cold Storage. Too bad it was all sold out. Meh. So no avocados to eat. I want to eat. 

Yea for Tuesday. It's Ramadhan month and Starbucks have this offer where you buy one free one on Tuesdays and Friday. Grab my all-time favorite - Mocha frappucino! I'm so loyal to you! Lol. Kidding.
